This is exactly what I was looking for. It’s a simple plastic hood with a screw-on mount. I tested it on a Canon 50mm f1.8 lens mounted to a Digital Rebel XTi, and there was no vignetting of the image. It seems to be durable even tough it is made out of plastic. The box is compact enough to justify storing the hood inside of the box within my camera bag. Considering that other hoods cost almost twice as much, this one is a bargain.
